|  Mr. Mavropoulos is the president of the Hellenic Solid Waste Association and the CEO of EPEM SA environmental consultants, the leading consultant in Greece with offices and partners in Hungary, Germany, Romania, Cyprus and Serbia. He also works as a senior researcher at waste management issues with the National Technical University of Athens, Greece.
His international experience has been gained in projects in Egypt, Morocco, Albania, Serbia, Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Germany, Sweden. Experiences in waste management include funding mechanism, environmental impact assessment, risk assessment, feasibility studies and a broad knowledge in waste planning and developing countries issues. In the last years his work has been focused on waste treatment issues and recycling. In the past 4 years Mr. Mavropoulos got involved in PPP procedures through working in UK, Hungary, Romania and Greece.
Mr. Mavropoulos is a regular speaker at seminars on environmental PPPs. He studied chemical engineering in NTUA and Advanced Management in IESE.
